MUSE & ALCHEMY · CAPE TOWN

Bespoke leathercraft in Cape Town

A bespoke leather commission starts with what the piece needs to be: its purpose, its character and the way it will be used or experienced. Muse & Alchemy brings material judgement and considered construction to individual leather objects, balancing function with a distinct visual identity.

Selected work

A study in material, construction and detail, ranging from functional objects to sculptural, individual pieces. These commissions bring character, purpose and finish together through considered one-off development.

A commission shaped around the brief

The selected work brings together carved and tooled surfaces, detailed leather objects and expressive one-off pieces. Surface treatment and construction are considered together, so that the finished piece has coherence rather than relying on decoration alone.

Starting the conversation

Bring references, an intended use and any dimensions or practical constraints. If the visual direction is still open, describe the character you have in mind. A discussion can begin before every detail has been specified; approximate timing and a budget range help establish a useful starting point.
